Today, I’d like to share a warm wish to all the amazing mothers out there. Especially this year, I have come to appreciate the strength, selflessness and compassion it takes to be a mother. I am especially grateful for my own mother who has celebrated with me in good times and supported me during the bad. So for all mothers, grandmothers, new mothers or mothers-to-be, let me wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day!
I’m doing all that I can to unwind after three long years of being in school. So when Bioré contacted me several months ago, to ask if I would be interested in hosting an at-home spa party for me and 3 or 4 of my girlfriends, I couldn’t refuse. I ended up inviting several of my classmates from my MBA program, all of whom has contributed to Beauty Nerds in some way, shape or form. Wow, I really wasn’t able to get my act together to get the blog post out for yesterday. If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’ll know that I went to the America’s Next Top Model Live event yesterday so I was falling a little behind on my Friday blogging duties. Then today, I hosted a small intimate spa party in my little condo, courtesy of Biore, which I will blog a little more about next week. Overall, the last 48 hours have definitely been jam-packed. To add to that, my mom showed up in Toronto unexpectedly last night. She was traveling through Toronto to go to Spain, missed her connecting flight and was stranded in Toronto for a day. I still remember loving to get my hair braided as a little girl. My aunt bought me a how-to book of braids when I was about 8, filled with tutorials on regular braids, french braids and even fishtail braids!
