Bourjois Volumizer Mascara

So there’s been a whole backlog of mascaras that have been sitting in my drawer, many of which I still have not tested. At last, I am finally getting around to them! Awhile back, during a Toronto Beauty Blogger event, the lovely Farah (from Faces by Farah) had surprised us each with a Bourjois Volumizer Mascara. I started using it a couple weeks ago and can I tell you? I’m in love…

The genius behind this product? There are 2 mascara brushes within the same tube! Here’s the reason for the 2 brushes:
Step 1: This first formula produces feathery soft lashes, giving it just a little more length and definition. For a natural day time look, this mascara is perfect. There’s no clumpiness at all and Bourjois claims that it will increase the volume of your lashes by 2x.
Step 2: Because I know my lashes are volume deficient, I almost always layer step 2 on top. This is the step that really amps up the volume (reminds me a little of Benefit’s BadGal Lash formula). Combining these 2 steps will give you an increase in voiume by about 11x!

More reasons to love? The formulas contain ceramides and pro-Vitamin B5 to help strengthen lash follicles. It may be my imagination, but after a couple weeks of using, I’ve noticed that my natural lashes (sans mascara) appear a bit longer and thicker. Whatever the case may be, I’m happy to accept all the help I can get!

What are your favourite volumizing mascaras? Let me know in the comment section below!

Really, two brushes? That’s odd. Usually two-step mascaras have one wand and in first stem, the opening is narrower, so that more product comes off the wand, and the opening in the second step is wider, so that more product stay on the wand, giving greater effect. Will check this one out :)

Definitely do so!  In this one, the brushes are different as well!
