Happy Labour Day friends! Hope you are enjoying your long weekend and getting rested up before getting back into the swing of things for fall. As you may or may not know, Fashion’s Night Out happens this Thursday – the one night a year where beauty and fashion vendors host events, launch new products and give away gift-with-purchases so that you can shop to your heart’s content!
I’m a little sad that I will not make it out to Fashion’s Night Out this year, although if I were there, here are 3 beauty events I wouldn’t want to miss and if you’re there, you shouldn’t either…
What: Molton Brown launches five luxurious fragrances each inspired by countries along the ancient spice route including Egypt, China, Indonesia, England and Canada. And what better way to celebrate the ancient spice route theme than with a tarot card reader? Let these fragrances take your mind to a faraway place and while you’re at it, take a sneak peek into your future.
Perks: If you do get your cards read that night, expect to part with a nice takeaway gift – a sample from Molton Brown’s Body Essentials core collection. Better yet, make a $140 purchase as well, and receive a Fine Fragrance sample gift set. But hurry, these offers are only available while supplies last.
When: Thursday, September 8th, 2011, 6-9pm
Where: Sak’s Fifth Avenue, Molton Brown counter
What: Experience Bite Cosmetics’ gorgeously-textured, resveratrol-loaded lipsticks with the help of a Bite Beauty professional makeup artist. Did you know that Bite lipsticks contain the same amount of resveratrol as 5 glasses of red wine? Who said eating your lipsticks was a bad thing?
Perks: If you make it to Bite early enough, and by that I mean, if you are one of the first 1000 people to purchase from Bite Beauty, look forward to a free gift!
When: Thursday, September 8th, 2011, 6-11pm
Where: Sephora 711 Lexington Ave (Between 57th and 58th Streets)
What: Michelle will be doing a meet-and-greet along with makeovers using Lancôme’s new Hypnôse Doll Lashes mascara.
When: Thursday, September 8th, 2011, 7-9pm
Where: Sephora Times Square (on Broadway)
I’m sure you are already very familiar with Michelle Phan’s videos, but her latest video is one of my favs. She is really upping her game in the world of makeup tutorials by not only conveying valuable makeup tips, but also creating a story and adding beautiful cinematography. Take a look at her video below and tell me if you agree…
If you are in the area and have the chance to stop by FNO, I would love to hear about it! Leave me a comment, post a link to some pics of the event, or even leave a link to your own blog post chronicling the event. Let me live vicariously though you :)! In the meantime, I will follow the FNO event online. Don’t forget that if you need some help planning your schedule for that night, you can always use FNO’s online tools, or download their iPhone or Android apps. Have fun!
