hello fructis sleek & shine, buh-bye flyaways!

Thanks to Josie Maran, the whole argan oil craze has become a beauty phenomenon. It seems as though every other brand has an argan oil something. Well, argan oil has officially entered the mass market – its first foray being through Fructis’ new Sleek & Shine hair care.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been using Fructis’ Sleek & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner and have noticed that my tresses, indeed, appear sleeker. Keep in mind, that I am an Asian girl with already stick-straight hair, so I’m sure any differences ‘sleekness’ would not be noticed by anyone but myself. However, if you have problems with lackluster and/or frizzy hair that only intensifies in humid weather, you might want to give this duo a try.

The shampoo contains Moroccan Argan Oil and apricot to nourish and smooth, and much like most Fructis products, it smells oh-so-fruity. The formula is clear, but lathers nicely into a luxurious foam. The conditioner effectively tames flyaways, detangles and provides deep conditioning benefits. I was quite surprised at the thickness of the conditioner – I found it much heavier than Fructis’ traditional conditioners. I could see how my hair would love this during the drier, winter months. At the moment however, the Sleek & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner is a bit weighty for my hair. In fact, after a couple washes, I find that I need to use a clarifying shampoo once a week to get rid of the heaving conditioning build up. I’m sure this would not be the case, if your locks aren’t as straight as mine…

Is your hair frizzy and uncontrollable in this humidity? If so, have you tried Fructis’ new Sleek & Shine hair care? What are your thoughts?
