Happy Friday Beauty Nerds,
Like many of you, I get excited to see the unveiling of new MAC limited edition collections. Time and time again, they are at the forefront of creativity. We find ourselves gleefully surprised as they uncover a new concept each season, while still fusing their eclectic mix of art and pop culture into our favorite MAC formulas. I have long been a fan of moulded eye shadows (especially when Chanel started coming out with their limited edition collections) mimicking fabric textures or other beautiful imagery. MAC’s Jeanius collection is really pure ‘jeanius’, as eye shadows are moulded into a relief of copper buttons and jean stitching, all offered in a gorgeous range of greys, pearls and indigo blues. Creamy lipsticks and lipglasses are done in cool shades of pinks and magentas, contrasted with with bright pops of fuschia from their powdered blush. This jazzy, cool spring palette leaves me daydreaming of nice weather and outdoor cafes. Oh, and the Biker Blue Nail Lacquer? It just may be the perfect complement to your skinny jeans. Which ones are your favorite?
