I just can’t seem to get enough nail polish this year. The weather is finally gorgeous and I’m ready to wear sandals again! Sandals, of course, means more opportunities to have fun with vibrant nail colors on both fingers and toes, so Maybelline’s new Color Show line of nail polishes have come at just the perfect time.
I can honestly say, there isn’t a color that I wouldn’t wear from any of these collections. They did a great job on picking the assortment! So here’s a snapshot of the four collections:
♥ ColorShow: The five colors on the left (as shown below) are their runway colors with a fabulous shine-finish. These polishes are my favourite. They apply on easily, do not streak and have pretty quick drying times – essential for impatient girls such as myself :)!
♥ Metallic Line: I’m not always a fan of metallic polishes, but I think I could sport Bold Gold when I want something a little more glam. Plus, it would be such a fun color to do nail art with!
♥ Shredded Line: This line is basically Maybelline’s version of shatter polish. You can apply the Shred polish over any other color and it will instantaneously produce a shredded pattern on your nails, revealing pieces or ‘shreds’ of the contrasting color underneath. Kind of fun, right? I painted my nails with Coral Crush and then painted one coat of Carbon Frost on my pinky nails for a funky touch.
♥ Denim Line: And last, Styled Out, the blue color on the far right, is one of their denim-inspired shades, a great polish to pair with a pair of your favourite acid-wash jeans…
If I had to pick a couple favourites, I would have to say it’s Coral Crush and Impeccable Greys… The matte color of this grey is so pretty, don’t you think? My friend, Karina selected this color for her manicure at the Bioré spa party last week.
They retail for about $3.99 each, which is such a steal for a great polish. How could you not have fun playing with colors this summer?
