Mother’s Day Gift Guide 2012

Wow, I really wasn’t able to get my act together to get the blog post out for yesterday. If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’ll know that I went to the America’s Next Top Model Live event yesterday so I was falling a little behind on my Friday blogging duties. Then today, I hosted a small intimate spa party in my little condo, courtesy of Biore, which I will blog a little more about next week. Overall, the last 48 hours have definitely been jam-packed. To add to that, my mom showed up in Toronto unexpectedly last night. She was traveling through Toronto to go to Spain, missed her connecting flight and was stranded in Toronto for a day. It was such a nice surprise, but it also reminded me that eek! – Mother’s Day is next week! Need to think of a gift asap! Are you in the same boat? I thought I would prepare a mini Mother’s Day gift guide, should you share my same fate.

Dior’s Garden Clutch Makeup Palette – perfect for the girly girl mom. How could you possibly resist this cute little clutch? I’m tempted to purchase 2 – so I could have one for myself! This garden-inspired palette contains 3 eyeshadows, 2 lip glosses and a dual-ended eyeshadow and lip brush. Retails for $75.
Korres’ Goddess Lip Collection – wonderful for the classy mom, who values a pampered lip. You gotta love a kit that gives you full size products. Korres’ lip collection contains THREE. The lip butter is to-die-for. Your mom will love the unbelievably nourishing texture, made up of all good-for-you ingredients including natural shea butter and rice wax. The lipstick and lip glaze also have equally divine textures, with shades that are universally flattering. Retails for $29.
Jason Wu Orchid Rain Candle by Nest – perhaps your mom just isn’t into beauty products and doesn’t want a lot of fuss? What about a beautifully scented candle that she can use to decorate and scent her home? I love Jason Wu’s Orchid rain candle because its notes of birchwood, pink pepper and coconut are simply dreamy. I’m especially swooning over the black and white orchid petal pattern on the jar, which was pulled directly from Jason’s Spring 2012 collection. Retails for $48.

So, Beauty Nerds, what do you think? Any other suggestions? I would love to hear them in the comment section below!!
