My Cup of Tea {Strawberry Bloom!}

Hello Beauty Nerds…

I’m feeling the need to brew a big pot of tea to get me through the day. I’m yearning for something warm, enveloping, and comforting to unwind, now that it’s Friday, so I’ll be super recharged for the long weekend. As I contemplate how I’m going to split up this weekend between writing a proposal for my Branding class (my group is doing a brand audit on The Body Shop, yay!) and spending some time with Peter, my husband, I thought I would share with you, a darling little blooming tea. As you know (if you’ve read some of my earlier posts), My Cup of Tea (MCOT) is one of my favourite tea brands. And today, in particular, I’m in the mood for strawberries! I’ll admit, I was partially inspired by seeing the announcement of Cake Beauty’s Strawberry Shortcake launch at Sephora (oh, the nostalgia), so I have selected MCOT’s Strawberry Bloom! tea to fancy my palate. Have you ever tried a blooming tea? I think the visual experience is what makes it so enjoyable.

The Strawberry Bloom! tea contains red tea, lily flower and strawberry. The aromas are simply divine. Want to see how this tea blossoms into an infusion of pure goodness? Let me take you through MCOT’s instructions (as shown on their packaging):

Pour a minimum of 4 cups of boiling water into a teapot. Glass teapots will allow you to see the bloom better, but I’m just using my beloved Monique Lhuillier teapot.

Throw the blooming tea directly in the water.

Watch and marvel at the beauty of its bloom.

It takes about 3 minutes for the blooming tea to bloom completely.

Let it brew in the water for about 10 minutes before consumption.
Close your eyes, sip slowly and allow your tensions to melt away!

You can make three infusions from one blooming tea within the same day. What a great way to get your hydration levels up – which is of course essential for skin health! If you want to order from MCOT, just go to their website www.mcot.ca and make your order online. They will ship anywhere in the US and Canada.

Have a great long (or maybe it’s short for you ;)) weekend!

Cheers,
