smoky greys + canary yellows

Happy Friday Beauty Nerds!

Finally a bit of sunshine! What a nice break after long weeks filled with nothing but stormy skies. Today’s colour inspiration is drawn from these temperamental weather patterns. Smoky greys against canary yellows creates a particularly striking contrast, creating a palette that is both sophisticated and wearable. I’ve also included one of my obsessions in the world of paper – paper rosettes. They are so easy to make, and when hung in clusters, a beautiful backdrop is instantly created (I made some of these for my own wedding as well). And the shoes? Well, need I say more? They take my breath away! Below are my 3 beauty picks to complete this inspiration board…

{1.} Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Mandarine-Basilic – Don’t you love the gold netting on the bottle? With sunny notes of clementine and blood orange juxtaposed against a fresh accord of basil and green tea, this fragrance is simply wonderful for summer.
{2.} Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Mimosa – Chanel’s most coveted, limited edition nail colour of the season. Yet another pop of colour to light up the room…yes, please…
{3.} YSL Ombres Duolumi̬res Duo Eyeshadow Palette in Oatmeal/Petrolium Blue РCreate an effortless smoky eye, blending a neutral tone with a navy-infused grey. So pretty!

xoxo,

Isn’t the colour so cheerful? Chanel always comes out with cult colours for their polishes – sigh!

Sigh, I’ve been searching for those shoes myself! Unfortunately, I pinned the image off of Pinterest (sourced from another blog – see the link to blondeepisodes beneath the image), but I couldn’t find where she had posted about these fabulous shoes! I will be sure to let you know as soon as I find out though!
