Do any of you watch Cake Boss? Once I start watching, I can’t stop! I simply love admiring sweets that are too pretty to eat. They’re almost like a piece of art, don’t you think? Jane discovered an amazing bakery in Toronto called Cake Opera Co. and they are a boutique-style bakery with a serious artistic flair. For Easter, they are offering custom faberge egg cakes, chocolate faberge egg gift filled with hand-rolled truffles, coconut passion fruit cupcakes, white and dark chocolate coconut macaroons, and chocolate bon bons. Heavenly? Soooo, if you are in the Toronto area, you might want to check them out. These Easter treats are only available April 18th – 23rd (I know, only one day left), and you should probably call in advance if you want something specific.
Anyway, I was so inspired by this rich palette of pastel confections, that I began seeking cosmetics that would boast the same cheerful, Easter hues. Lo and behold, I found these gorgeous nail lacquers by Scotch Naturals. For all of you concerned with harmful chemicals in your polish, you definitely should check these ones out. Scotch Naturals are a “non-toxic, eco-friendly alternative” to your standard lacquers. These “water colours” are free from toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, acetone and heavy metals. They also promise to deliver salon-quality results.
Easter manicure anyone?
