Stila’s One Step Correct

I’m normally not a fan of the helix-swirly thingies in products (sometimes they look a bit tacky), but I’ll admit, I was drawn to the Stila version when I strolled through Sephora the other day (and yes, shopping post MBA feels pretty darn good). It’s actually Stila’s One Step Correct, promising the look of flawless skin.

With just one pump, the three colour correctors dispense simultaneously to create an illuminating blend that is supposed to even out skin tone, brighten, and nourish the skin. Stila has also added a skincare ingredient to combat fine lines and wrinkles – their Youth Revival Bio-Available Mineral Complex.

My take on it? The formula definitely brightened my complexion, although I remain skeptical about the color correction aspect… The serum was surprisingly light and refreshing, sinking into my skin without any oily residue. I definitely would use it as a primer before makeup and because it’s so lightweight, I think it would be a great product for summer.

What do you think? Have you tried Stila’s One Step Correct and if so, do you think it’s worth the $36 price tag?

xoxo,

I’ve been using the Almay version (http://www.almay.com/products/face/foundation/smart-shade-perfect-and-correct-primer.aspx) which only has the two shades, but I love it!  It was a spur of the moment decision as I passed it in Walmart one day.  I had been coveting the Stila version, but not the price tag that came with it.  The Almay version was somewhere between $10-15.  I would recommend it if you are hesitating on getting the Stila primer.  It is a great find!

Funny, I just saw the Almay one on TV the other day and I was wondering how that one compares!  Great tip on a less expensive alternative – thanks Rebecca!
