Sun Beam by Benefit Cosmetics

A couple of weeks ago, I bought Jamieson’s ‘sunshine in a bottle’, Vitamin D drops that you can put on your tongue or even on your fruit. I have to admit, I was completely sold by the commercial. I mean, who wouldn’t want a little ray of sunshine in a bottle? I certainly do! Not long after, I discovered another little piece of sunshine, also in a bottle. It’s Benefit Cosmetics’ new Sun Beam

You may be wondering, why on earth would you need this kind of product during winter? But let me tell you, it’s actually a great product to use in the winter. During these dry months, chances are that your skin is parched. Therefore, your complexion may be lackluster and in some dire need for a radiance boost. Sun Beam instantly brings that luminosity back to your skin. You apply it as you would a nail polish, and a tiny drop of the liquid goes a long way. Dab over makeup on cheeks and underneath the arch of your brow, then blend evenly for an instant golden shimmer. It’s actually so shimmery, that I prefer to mix it in with my tinted moisturizer before blending it into my skin. You’ll get a much more natural, sun-kissed look that way.

You see? Winters can be made a lot less dreary when you have a little sunshine in your pocket book. Sun Beam retails for $30 each. Have you tried it? Would love to hear your thoughts…

I love the idea of this product – I definitely feel my skin needs some highlighting during this drab winter! I mainly use powder foundation though (mineral base)…I wonder if it would work with that?

Hmm, you may have to put it on before you put on your powder.  I think it would only work if your powder has a light coverage, otherwise, it would cover up Sun Beam completely.

I’m a fan of High Beam, so I’ve got my eye on this for summer – I think it should suit my skin well – I seem to be the only person on the planet that Benetint looks absolutely GRUESOME on!

Wow really? I’ve never heard of anyone that doesn’t like Benetint! :) If you like High Beam though, I’m sure you’ll love Sun Beam.
