yoga hair essentials…

After 3 years of sitting cramped in my desk in front of my books, I’ve decided I need to get back into a regular exercise regimen. So I grabbed one of my friends and forced her to join me in taking some yoga classes. And of course, the best way to fuel my inspiration to work out, is to treat myself to some new workout clothes.. yoga attire to be more precise. Over the long weekend, I made a special trip to lululemon for that very purpose…

My favourite finds at lululemon? Their headbands with the silicone grips on the inside. Through chaturangas, downward dogs and half moon poses, my hair stayed neatly pulled back and out of my face. Other headbands with no grippy texture on the inside almost always slips off my head in the middle of class – has that happened to you?

Here are the 2 headbands I ended up purchasing (totally functional and unbelievably cute):
{1} Swiftly Headband in grey – The silicone dots on the inside of the headband guarantees that it will stay put, regardless if you’re upside down or right side up. And, it is made with their Silverscent fabric which wicks moisture away from your head and prevents stinkiness. Retails for $14.00.
{2} Skinny Satin Pirouette in grey – Perhaps it’s because I secretly wanted to be a ballerina when I was younger, but I am obsessed with the satin hairband. I love how delicate it looks. And again, the silicone grips on the inside prevents it from budging. They’re also adjustable, so you can size accordingly. Retails for $12.00.

Do you have any must-have yoga gear? Please share! I would love to hear in the comment section below!
